SPAR Blackwater is a new and exciting store nestled in the community of Griffin's Cross, Blackwater, Co. Clare

We are looking for an experienced fresh food professional to the team as Deli Assistant

Main purpose of position:


To ensure the fresh foods department is profitable, operates efficiently, effectively, and hygienically to ensure safe food commensurate with the highest standards of service and products.

Job requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes

  • Retail experience required 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Numerical abilities

  • The ability to work as part of a team

  • The ability to use initiative 

  • Sound judgement with the ability to make decisions

  • Self-motivated

  • Good attention to detail

  • Knowledge of Food Hygiene would be beneficial
