Payroll Admin – Fixed Term (9 months, potential permanent)

Appleby Westward Group Ltd – Saltash Office

Monday to Friday

09:00 – 17:00

35 hours per week

Grade 1 – £24,000 + Benefits

As a Payroll Co-ordinator, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our business by supporting the delivery of accurate and timely payroll services, while providing excellent customer service to colleagues across the company.

 

The Role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Payroll Administrator to join our friendly Payroll team on a 9-month fixed-term contract (with the potential to move to permanent). In this role, you’ll support the Payroll Manager with general administrative tasks, help keep payroll records accurate, and assist colleagues with payroll queries. No previous payroll experience is required.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

·        Provide general administrative support to the Payroll team.

·        Assist with preparing and checking payroll data.

·        Help ensure records are accurate and kept up to date.

·        Respond to basic payroll queries with a friendly, helpful approach.

·        Work with colleagues across departments to meet deadlines.

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

 

·        Good attention to detail and accuracy.

·        Confident use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

·        Strong organisational and time management skills.

·        Clear and professional communication skills (written and verbal).

·        A positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.

·        A team-player approach and readiness to support colleagues.
