Deli Assistant (Full-Time)

SPAR Westwood is seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, and customer-focused Full-Time Deli Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, preparing and serving high-quality food products, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring the deli area is presented to the highest standard.

The successful candidate must be available to work morning shifts Monday to Friday, as well as weekends as required.

• Provide a friendly, professional, and efficient service to all customers

• Prepare and serve deli food products in accordance with company procedures

• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and presentation

• Ensure compliance with all food safety and HACCP requirements

• Monitor stock levels and assist with stock rotation and replenishment

• Operate deli equipment safely

• Maintain a clean and organised work area at all times

• Assist with deliveries and merchandising activities as required

• Adhere to all company policies and health and safety procedures

• Work effectively as part of a team to ensure smooth daily operations

• Previous experience in a deli, food service, retail, or customer service environment is desirable but not essential

• Familiarity with food safety and HACCP procedures would be advantageous

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Availability to work Monday to Friday mornings and weekends as required
